Today an infant by the name of Afreen died. Apparently her imbecile of a father wanted a boy, and not having got one, he took it out on her. She was just a few months old. I just found out..3 months old..
Of course it took the Indian social network by storm...thanks to the media..but her fame was short lived..it should have taken an earthquake to divert people's attentions, and funnily enough, it was an earthquake..
Now the news isn't screaming out about Afreen anymore..She's relegated to an insignificant link - she's still on the front page though..now that's reality for you.
But what really, and I really mean REALLY irritated me was the standard question that appeared at the bottom of the Times of India story that reported this child's death.
The question was "Do You Like This Story?"
I know that people are not as sensitive as they used to be..but I just can't believe that these idiots want to know the answer to that particular question.
